So it was Hydran vrs Lyran, always a nasty match. T1 i went speed 14 all turn, he did a 28\20\28 thing.
Basically we closed to R8, i had launched fighters on imp2 and due to fun speed tricks they were 2 ahead of me, R6 to him. I had a 4 point brick on the nose, but due to the situation i had just turned from D to C so he would hit my #2. He raised both ESG's as R0, 5 energy, 20 strength each as hellbore shielding. He fired 2 ol at me, and 1 ph-1 at each stinger. He hit me with one OL, 6 damage to my #2. His phasers were bad and it was R6. He did 2 to one stinger, and 0 to the other. The following imp. He fired another ph-1 at each stinger doing 2 to each. On imp 28, i sped up to 28 with 2 reserve warp to keep up with him. He turned to B so i was facing my #1 to his #5. On imp 30 i tractored my fighters so they could maintain range 3 to him and dropped trac the next imp to prevent death dragging if he shot. I fired fighter fusions (4 of them) and both fighter gatts, along with my 4 FA arc ph-1's. I net 31 damage to his #5, doing 6 internals. Of these 6 i killed 2 control spaces, 1 hull, an ESG and both Ph-3s. Imp. 32 i followed up with my remaining 360 ph-1 doing another 3, killing a hull, a flag bridge, and a phaser.
Turn 2 i am starting at R3, ship fusions armed, bores armed, gatt's can fire. I decide to try to catch him before he turns his sheild away. His remaining ESG is still up. I overload one hellbore, hold fusions, recharge phasers, charge 1 battery and do a 28\15 split for 19 moves. He goes speed 20 all turn. Imp. 1 i fire a standard bore 1st option, and an OL bore 2nd option. The standard auto hits for 15, reducing his ESG to 5. The Ol autohits the remaining 5 and does 17 after reducing ESG to 0. This does 9 internals and 8 around. I kill the remaining ESG, some phasers and some power\fluff. On imp. 2 we both move. I expect him to turn but he doesn't. I slip left and get range 2 on his down shield. I fire 4 standard fusions, and both gatts on my ship. I roll kinda poorly on fusions but do really well on the gatt's netting 42 more internals. This kills his hull, about half his power, all facing phasers. He concedes here as i have energy for a trac, i will catch him even if he HET's, I have 2 SS shuttles, and he can't kill the fighters. The only damage i took all game was the 6 to shield #2.

AAR, Klingon vrs Hydran
I decided to post a few game reports here, for the heck of it. This one was between myself and my friend Phil.
We wanted a "fast" game, so we took War Destroyers. I took a Hydran DWL with 2 standard St-II's, against his Klingon F5W (2 T-bombs and all spd-32 drones). We were in the 120-130 Bpv range.
On turn 1, Phil plotted speed 30 with no EW. I went 15. I launched fighters early, around impulse 2 or 3. Shortly after that he launched his scatter pack shuttle and turned off, into his corner. Since he was going fast, he wanted to open the range, then link back up with the drones later on. After his turning back toward me, we closed. I was heading A, staying within a hex of my fighters. He was heading C, his drones D. Eventually we were 4 hexes apart, his drones were 2 hexes in front of me, to my left. My fighters were at range 5 also heading A. He called fire. I fired since this was a good range for bores. I shot him with 4xPh-1's, 2xFuse from my ship, 2xStandard Hellbores, and i also decided to fire my fighter Fuses at range 5. So 4 more fuse. Having no EW, he had a 1 shift against me. He shot me with 2xStd Disruptor's and 2xPh-1's. His direct fire left me with 8 boxes on my #6 shield. My direct fire left his #1 with 2 points, after some reinforcement. Both Hellbores hit, netting me 3 around, and 13 inside. Sadly the only nice internals i got here were a Ph-3, 2 impulse, a control space, 2 warp, and some fluff. Oh i killed all 3 of his Btty as well.
At this point, i turned out and sped up to speed 30 to stay ahead of the drones. This cost me 2 Btty power. I was now empty except for 2x360deg Gatts, and my fighter Gatts. He was chasing, but HET to run away while his drones chased me. I guess he didn't want my fighters to get any closer. I moved so that my fighters could get range 0 to the drones. Their Gatt fire wiped out 5 drones (1xPh-3 at each of 6 drones) leaving one drone at 1 point, which i killed the next imp. Sometime after his HET he launched another SP.
Turn 2 was mostly uneventful. He ran directly north, ending two hexes away from the map edge, dead center of the map. I went slow to get turned around and re-armed. I dealt with his scatter pack drones again, and landed one of the fighters for re-arming. I left one out to help kill those pesky drones. On imp. 26 he launched 2 drones from his racks, hoping to fire 2 more on impulse one of turn 3. At the end of the turn i fixed one shield box, he did the same for his down shield. We ended 9 hexes apart, i had a pair of drones directly ahead of me, about 4 hexes away. I was facing A, he was facing B against the map wall.
Turn 3 saw phil plotting high ECM with 5 points. He was hoping for at least a 1 shift against my 4 Batts. I had allocated 1, resulting in no shift after my Btty power. My heavy weapons were back online, so i armed standard Hellbores again, and 2 standard Fusions. Phasers were, of course, fully charged. Phil plotted a fast deceleration to get turned around and back in arc as i was slightly behind his disruptor's, going 14->8->5. I plotted a 20\15 split. Once i saw his slow speed i knew i could get range zero, so i turned into him, staying out of his Disruptor arcs as best i could. He eventually got a shot on my #1 with 2xOl Disr and 1xPh-1. He also fired his 3 RX Ph-1's at the single fighter I had launched, scoring 9 damage to the fighter, and 19 to my forward shield. The following impulse he killed the stinger with his remaining Ph-1. I closed to range zero as planned. I launched the 2 SS shuttles i had been holding all game on him, and alpha'd into his #3. The SS would hit the next impulse for 36. I kicked him in the face for 55 through his shield in just direct fire ( i didn't even fire Gatts!). Both Hellbores also hit, for another 20\20. This resulted in 23 internals due to his #1 shield being at 1 box, 3 of the 4 scattered damage from the Hellbore got through there too. Ship go BOOM. SS didn't even hit. I took 13 on my #1 from his explosion. of 4 internals, I lost 2 Ph-1's a Fusion, and 1 C-Hull. The only internals i took all game were from blowing him up at range zero. I still had an armed Stinger in the bay.
My overall strategery was to get a decent shot on a shield, take it, and turn out to rearm. Get turned back around, and pick at him with the Hellbores, while letting stingers and\or my 360 Gatts deal with drones. Repeat as needed, from moderate range. Since he slowed way down, i decided to go in after him. I think he was trying to dance, but wound up dancing around drones rather than making use of his excellent FH\R\L disruptor arcs. This let me deal with his drones separately from his ship. Overall a fun game, mostly a refresher course for Phil.
Well there is my three turn writeup. Hope you enjoy it.
